Technology executive · AI operations · Strategy & transformation
He leads an agentic AI operations platform that is live in production in enterprise IT operations, with EU regulation designed into the agent architecture. He brings forty years in technology to it: global organizations of thousands, the strategy behind the sale of a $1.5B-revenue business, and a record as the executive called in when a program was genuinely broken.
Currently VP, Cross-Functional Services & AI Operations at Atos. Based in Colorado. Contact: [email protected]
He leads Atos's AI operations platform from development through global deployment into production. It works inside the existing incident process, enriching live incidents for engineers, and a person closes every one.
EU AI Act, GDPR, NIS2 and ITIL requirements are mapped to specific mechanisms in the agent design: human oversight, data minimization, auditable decision records. The code is on track for Cyber Resilience Act compliance.
He also leads data center and platform strategy, including the move after the industry-wide VMware licensing shift and AI-ready capacity, and owns the global tools shared across the business lines.
Getting things done is his core strength: producing deliverables and driving an organization to results, whether that's running a 6,000-person delivery organization day to day or turning around a contract losing $1M a month.
Whether he is setting strategy, running a large organization or fixing a program, he builds an honest picture from data first, then acts on the few things that matter most.
The CISO reported to him at Xerox and at HealthComp, he ran a security-focused managed services provider, and he has led recoveries from serious incidents, including ransomware.
He prefers a working prototype to a slide, and treats it as the start of the conversation with stakeholders, not the end.
An eviction, not a planned migration: nine months of planning, then thousands of systems and about a petabyte of data moved in a single overnight cutover.
Ask Arix → AI governanceEach obligation in the EU AI Act, GDPR and NIS2 tied to a specific control in code, architecture or operations, because compliance is a property of the system, not a document.
Ask Arix → Product judgmentHe rejected the obvious "chat with an AI" feature after running the unit economics, and designed for one model call per event instead of one per user.
Ask Arix →On his own time John runs Mohawk, a personal lab that works like a small enterprise IT operation: monitoring, security monitoring, an asset database, ticketing and runbooks, with AI agents investigating incidents across all of it.
The agents work under the same disciplines a large service provider uses. They observe and recommend freely, act only through pre-approved runbooks on systems explicitly opted in, and record every decision. John designed and governs it; AI did most of the building at his direction.
Arix is John's AI agent. It knows his career, how he leads and what he's built, and it will tell you when something is outside what it knows.
